Yves Crozet is a transport economist and Professor Emeritus at Sciences Po Lyon.
Specializing in the economics of transport, urban planning, and public services, he directed the Laboratoire d’Économie des Transports (LET) — now the Laboratoire Aménagement Économie Transports (LAET, CNRS UMR 5593) — for ten years (1997–2007). Professor at Université Lyon 2 from 1992 to 2010 and then at Sciences Po Lyon until his retirement, he remains an associated researcher at LAET and a Research Fellow at CERRE (Centre on Regulation in Europe). As a witness and analyst of mobility transformations — liberalization of networks, ecological transition, public investment choices, urban tolls —, he regularly contributes to debates on sustainable transport policies, rail regulation, and climate challenges. Author of numerous reference books and articles, he advocates for a rigorous economic approach to achieve more efficient, equitable, and low-carbon mobility choices.
